PT Equityworld Futures (EWF) Cirebon Branch held a celebration of the Islamic New Year, 1 Muharam 1445 H, and the National Haul to commemorate the figure of Habib Jafar bin Muhammad Alkaff at the Sang Cipta Rasa Great Mosque of Cirebon on Tuesday, 18 July 2024.

This celebration was coupled with the Khataman Al-Qur'an activity which was attended by EWF Cirebon Branch employees, business partners, and the general public. With solemnity, they recited tawasul together and recited the Qur'an.

Ernest Firman, Head of the EWF Cirebon Branch, opened the event with great respect for the late Habib Jafar bin Muhammad Alkaff. In his speech, Ernest expressed his high respect and appreciation for this charismatic scholar.

"Habib Jafar bin Muhammad Alkaff was a scholar who left a valuable legacy for our company. Our teachers emphasized the importance of respecting and continuing the good values left by previous scholars," said Ernest firmly.

Apart from that, Ernest Firman also appreciated Habib Jafar bin Muhammad Alkaff's role in building a high tolerance attitude. In fact, EWF has adopted the values of tolerance left behind by him.

This is considered very relevant to the spirit of unity and togetherness which is the character of the Indonesian nation. "We will always remember the message from our teacher regarding the importance of unity and high tolerance," he added.

Ernest also said that the commemoration of 1 Muharram 1445 H and the National Haul to commemorate Habib Jafar bin Muhammad Alkaff was filled with prayer readings, prayers, and completing the Qur'an as a form of respect and love for the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

All participants were also given the opportunity to pray together and remember the services of the Ulama who contributed to the development of religion and society in the city of Cirebon.

Apart from events in the mosque, EWF Cirebon also routinely organizes Al-Qur'an khataman recitations for Muslims and Bible reflections for Christian employees every month.

"This study is also attended by employees and business partners with the hope that it can increase the spirit of unity and spirituality in each individual," he added.

Through this event, EWF Cirebon hopes to continue to make a positive contribution to society and become a place for spiritual development for all company members.
